The Preserve at Crooked Run offers a unique upland experience within the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Experience the thrill of hunting over seasoned gun dogs as you trek through varying terrain and managed quail habitat. From open grass fields to creeks and woodland, you will find yourself on your toes throughout your entire adventure. We offer unique packages that cater to all ages, abilities, and experience levels.

Before heading into the field, stop into our General Store for all your upland necessities, including Caesar Guerini and Fabarm gun rentals, ammunition, and apparel. Then mark out on your hunt for pheasant, quail, or chukar, which will be located masterfully by one of our setters, pointers, or spaniels. Beginners can enjoy wingshooting-oriented instruction from one of our certified shotgun instructors on our Orvis-designed 13-station sporting clays course and 5-stand/wobble trap.

Turn your hunt into a true memorable experience with an overnight package. Enjoy dinner in our Grand Lodge overlooking a five-acre trout-stocked pond.
