A great fishing trip starts with great waters. We are fortunate to operate on some of the world’s most productive trout waters. Rivers like the Madison, Yellowstone, Gallatin, Missouri, and Big Hole are household names in the fly fishing world. In addition to the large blue ribbon float rivers we also strive to help our guests experience off-the-beaten-path waters that you haven’t heard of. We hold several forest service, state, and national park permits that allow us to access restricted waters. We also work with many local ranchers and landowners to gain access to extremely productive small streams or private lakes that see very little pressure.

Once you make it to the river you will enjoy our talented and experienced guide staff. We are extremely proud of our team and feel they are truly some of the best in the business. A great guide can make a huge difference in your outing on the water. We look for highly experienced guides with a strong penchant for teaching. Our fun, positive, passionate, patient, “fishy” guides will make sure that you get the most out of your time on our local streams and rivers.

Our back office staff is with us year round to help you design your next fishing vacation. When you contact Montana Angler to set up a trip you will work with someone from our team who knows each river and lodging option intimately. We ask a lot of questions in order to determine what you envision for your “perfect trip” and then help you narrow down options to a few that we feel will be just the right match.
