Enlist the help of the Orvis-endorsed experts at Minam Store Outfitters on your wingshooting trip to Oregon. Hunt six species of upland birds in one of the most awe-inspiring river canyons of the west: the Snake River through Hells Canyon, the deepest gorge in North America.

A Minam Store Outfitters trip in Hells Canyon is an expedition-style hunt where a dedicated gear-boat team moves camp downriver while you and your guide hike the canyon searching for coveys of chukar, Hungarian partridge, mountain quail, valley quail, and turkey; each day will be filled with good hunting opportunities. Hells Canyon is full of epic geologic history, Native American history, as well as remnants of Chinese gold miners and early sheep and cattle ranchers.

Each guide will have their own experienced pointing dogs, but guests are welcome to bring their own. After you get your fill of hunting for the day, we will move downstream by raft between camps where you will have the opportunity to fish for bass, trout, steelhead, salmon, and sturgeon.

Camp becomes your second home with an 8-ft. x 8-ft. personal wall tent for sleeping accommodations. Each tent includes comfortable cots, thick sleeping pads, and freshly laundered sleeping bags and pillows. A 10-ft. x 14-ft. dining hall tent (heated with a wood stove) will take the chill off any cool evenings or mornings.

It is hard to find a better combination of upland bird hunting, wild and scenic river corridors, great food, and comfortable riverside accommodations. Owner and guide, Grant Richie is the 5th generation in his family to work and live in Hells Canyon and offers an intimate knowledge of the canyon.
