Koon Outfitters is composed of an Orvis-Endorsed team where the fly fishing is not a job—it is our passion. Our guides spend nearly every day on the water.

The area surrounding the town of Coyhaique is “Heaven on Earth” to almost any angler. The sheer number of options where one can spend a day of fishing can be overwhelming. From the world-famous Simpson River to the lesser-known spring creeks and lakes, we have access to nearly endless fishing possibilities.

This flexibility to fish such a wide variety of water is the reason we base our operation out of Coyhaique. We strive to provide our clients with the opportunity to fish the best water available for the conditions on any given day. We will not fish our clients on water that is not prime, just because it is conveniently close to our lodge. We fish the best water, at the best time. Period.

Each day our guides will build a schedule that matches our clients to the best fishing for their ability and interests. We will work closely with you to determine your fishing preference. Whether you enjoy wade fishing, float fishing on a river, or lake fishing, we will make sure that you and your group get to experience the best of Chilean Patagonia.

We have secure private access points on many of the best rivers, lakes, and creeks of the region. Our guides know these waters better than anyone.
