Fly Fish Utila provides weeklong fly fishing trips to its namesake Caribbean island, the smallest of the three Bay Islands of Honduras. A beautiful tropical island and a truly welcoming local culture make this an unforgettable trip.

Our local guides are passionate about fishing, and their eagle eyes can make all the difference when searching for those black-tailed devils. They have lived their entire lives on this island and possess a wealth of knowledge about the marine life, plants, and animals of their island. Poling or wading the flats can lead to encounters with any one of the big three: bonefish, permit, and tarpon. Head deep into the mangroves and explore the creeks and lagoons in search of snook and juvenile tarpon.

White sandy beaches lapped by the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean and the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef surround the island. This reef is the largest of its kind in the Northern Hemisphere and boasts not only stunning coral reefs and colorful tropical fish but thrilling encounters with sea turtles, reef sharks, dolphins, and whale sharks. Town boasts excellent restaurants featuring many different types of cuisine and fun waterfront bars.

We limit our group sizes to minimize our pressure on the fishery and pride ourselves on our conservation-minded approach to guiding. We also strive to give back to the community and people of Utila through various fundraising efforts and campaigns.
