Description

Float and fish with Orvis-Endorsed Guide Ed Reposa of Lupo Fly Fishing through forests and farmland on the scenic Connecticut River in the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. Ed’s “home waters,” stretching between Piermont and Walpole, NH add up to more than 60 river miles of meandering, unpressured water forming the border between New Hampshire and Vermont. On most days, Ed and his guests feel like they have the whole river to themselves—gliding downstream in a comfortable 16′ StealthCraft® raft and seeing more eagles and ospreys than boats.

This section of the Connecticut River through central and southern New Hampshire is an exceptional smallmouth bass fishery, and that is the primary focus. The bass here are almost always looking up and willing to take terrestrials and poppers off the surface from spring through fall, and they’ll chase streamers for most of the season. There are also seasonal opportunities for northern pike, as well as trout in tributaries and stillwaters.

As a full-service fly fishing guide, Ed tailors each trip to match the skill level of his clients, regardless of experience. A natural-born teacher, he began guiding in part to bring more people into the sport—absolute beginners are some of his favorite clients. No one is born knowing how to do this, and everyone deserves the chance to learn and enjoy the outdoors. Whether it’s your first cast or you’re a seasoned angler, contact Ed for an educational and fun day on the water.
