Description

Dave Pecci is a US Coast Guard Captain, Registered Master Maine Guide, and a member of the Yamaha National Fishing Team. He has received the Orvis Guide of the Year and Coastal Conservation Association of Maine Sportsman of the Year Awards. His services include personalized guided fishing trips for striped bass, bluefish, shark, and school bluefin tuna. All levels of experience are welcomed. Whether you’re an experienced angler or new to fly fishing, you will be comfortable with Capt. Dave. He will tailor your trip to your abilities and preferences. He can also provide casting instruction.

During your trip on the Kennebec, you will see eagles, ospreys, seals, and a variety of shore birds. You also might see deer, turkey, racoon, and mink along the river’s edge. The granite banks of the Kennebec are lined with spruce, hemlock, and hardwood trees. Much of the shoreline is undeveloped. The river has six operating lighthouses between Bath and the Atlantic Ocean. Bath is a quaint town of 9,000 with several accommodation options and restaurants. Front Street is lined with many shops and eateries. One block toward the river you’ll find the Kennebec Tavern and Marina where Capt. Dave bases his guiding business.

Capt. Dave has been guiding in Maine for over 25 years. He grew up on the waters of the Kennebec catching his first striped bass at the age of 10. He and his lovely wife Barb live on Whiskeag Creek, a tiny tributary of the river in the home he grew up in.

Fully-licensed and insured. No fishing license required. Major credit cards accepted. Dave has been providing quality guided experiences for more than 25 years.
