Description

Go on a wilderness fly fishing and backcountry camping adventure of a lifetime in Montana’s Bob Marshall Wilderness.

This is a 4-star, wilderness camping and fly fishing trip into Montana’s most pristine, untouched mountain landscapes. The trip starts as you “pack” in on horseback upriver for miles into the Wilderness and float out on the South Fork of the Flathead River. Fly fish by day, camp each night, and enjoy a campfire with stories under the stars on the banks of the South Fork of the Flathead River. This is truly the trip of a lifetime.

Only a handful of guided pack and float trips are allowed here each year and the outfitters abide by a permit system that protects this fragile ecosystem. Because of this, the dry fly fishing for wild and native West Slope cutthroats is some of the best in the lower 48 states. Not to mention it is one of the only places in the Western US where you can legally target, and fish to the native bull trout. Each year we reserve a week during some of the best weather and fishing, for a group of Orvis Adventures guests. This trip into the Bob Marshall Wilderness is perfect if you are looking for the ultimate, Montana fly fishing experience away from the crowds and enjoy being in the outdoors!
