Description

Prairie Wildlife is the premier conservation-driven sporting estate located in the heart of the Mississippi Black Prairie. Prairie Wildlife is the culmination of Mr. Jimmy Bryan’s vision. “Mr. Jimmy”, as he is affectionately known, is a lifelong Mississippi native and an avid quail hunter, he decided 25 years ago that he wanted to bring back the quail hunting tradition to how he remembered it in his youth.

He set about resurrecting the habitat which supported a viable healthy quail population. Working with leading quail biologist at Mississippi State University he has planted native warm season grasses, hedge rows, and other vegetation that supports quail.

From your arrival to your departure you will be provided with exacting service in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

Your walkup quail hunting will be in a variety of locations where you will experience excellent dog work, strong flying birds, and dedicated, experienced guides. If you prefer you can bring and hunt behind your own bird dogs which can be housed in dog kennels set aside for the exclusive use of guests.

After your hunt you will relax in comfort enjoying a cigar and cocktail on the lodge veranda overlooking our horseshoe lake, filled with bass and other panfish. Or you can enjoy the patio with its fire pit and relive your day afield.

The Prairie Wildlife chef will prepare gourmet meals that befit the finest restaurant, enjoyed in a collegial atmosphere.

If you find some down time, try our 5-stand, Helice course, or one of our other shooting venues under the guidance of our shooting instructor.
